GLIDE: It’s a palm support, not a wrist rest! Metaphase conducted ergonomic research on office mousing accessories and found that they encourage planting of the wrist rather than a more ergonomic posture, such as gliding. Metaphase has helped to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome and other pain associated with prolonged mouse work by: 1) alleviating pressure on the tendonous wrist region, 2) eliminating awkward wrist position, and 3) reducing excessive motion of the smaller wrist tendons.
