Brush Metaphase's team of experts conducted perception and usability research in more than 70 consumer's homes across the United States. We provided ORAL-B's design team with ergonomic and design guidelines that prescribed optimal product form, geometry and visual qualities. The result has been a toothbrush that commands a premium from the consumer and returns a premium for ORAL-B. A. Perception research defined the proportions of bristle head design, balancing perception of performance with real brushing time. B. A rubber primary grip zone for fingertips optimizes dexterous control and tactile feedback. C.
